Very Impressed!

Um, I just sent out an email letting you all know that I'm almost ready to get started and not to fret, and then I popped over here and saw that there is no need for cheerleading with this here bunch! Hey, here's a thought, while Jen attempts to switch careers and sell her house, could ya'll just write and sell this screenplay for me? Just send me a check, as it looks like I'll be going to closing on the house I've spent 20k restoring with cash in hand. Lovin' that.

Enough griping. But if anyone is interested in rewriting The Money Pit, I'll have plenty of inspiration to bring to the table.

I haven't had a chance to read all these, but they look like excellant brainstorms.

Mike, I'm down with the idea of everyone picking a character. And don't fret, we will absolute nail down an approach before we get going.

This might be much more simple than we think. Maybe the film opens with six people going about their lives in different parts of the country and they're all about to travel to one destination to meet the elusive host of the site. Maybe all six people post on Peterman's Eye, or some such site, and have decided to meet. Maybe we just flat out use JP's name. Why not? Like a Waiting for Guffman? I love the Christopher Guest films. And it's about their journeys there and the climax hits somewhere around when or just after they meet. Thoughts? Obviously, the characters can be only loosly based on ourselves, or entirely fictional. That way, we can all just vote on about where we want the 'meeting' to hit in the film—near beginning, middle, toward end, etc. Then we decide how many pages each our responsible for with our individual journey/story, and co-write after we've read everyone's story of how they got there. Am babbling. But I sort of like that. Very postmodern. Sorry. I hate that term. Blah.

Off to the other blog, ya'll. Incidentally, tonight I'm writing about how film is coming in big waves to Michigan since Grand Torino (sp?) We may not have to hike this Hollywood. Maybe they'll come straight to Miss Ive. Such a charmed life she leads. Ahhh. . .

Night.

  1. Willie here.

A true life (almost) story of our characters trying to get together in non-cyber space? Mowst eggcellent.

We start off with a discussion blog not unlike the eye, perheps, with variations as we wish to make them. The posts could be monologues, almost, or voice overs describing our supposed lives ( remember, on the internet nobody knows you're a dog ) and Now and then the ironic reality is shown while the poster spins out his fantasy life for the benefit of fellow posters ( a la the cliche of the women on the 900 numbers) In fact, one poster could BE a 900 number operator, or a professional chatroom person- maybe one of those cops who go around hoping to meet guys hoping to meet underage boys and girls?

Very very Christopher Guest. And we can have as many characters as we like, including two who come to the forum separately, but know each other in real life, etc etc etc.
    cool. thanks.
